Updated September 25, 2026. Applies to the FlowReader iOS/iPadOS app and this support website.
Reading data on your device
FlowReader stores reading progress, daily reading allowances, ad reward status, recent reads, preferences, and chapter caches on your device. The app has no developer-operated reading backend, FlowReader account system, or separate analytics SDK.
Website connections and sign-in
The app connects directly to the third-party websites you open to retrieve web pages and chapters. Those websites may receive your IP address, request headers, and cookies for that website. Original web pages may also load resources from other services. Each website’s own privacy policy governs its data handling.
You sign in to websites on the original web page. WebKit manages cookies and website storage, and your sign-in session may be used for later chapter requests. FlowReader does not ask you to send website passwords to the developer.
Optional rewarded ads
Versions with rewarded ads use Google AdMob. Ads are requested only when you choose to watch one; Pro does not request ads. Development and testing use official test ads. Ad availability in the released app depends on your region, consent status, and Google’s review.
Ad services may process your IP address and the approximate location inferred from it, device information and identifiers, ad interactions, performance data, and crash diagnostics for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement. This app does not send novel text, chapter URLs, or website cookies to the advertising SDK. Ad requests are configured as non-personalized, and the app does not request IDFA tracking permission. This does not mean that Google processes no data. See the Google Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads data disclosure.
We use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage ad privacy choices. UMP may process approximate location, product interactions, and performance data for app functionality, including determining which regional privacy messages apply, displaying and managing privacy choices, and keeping the consent process working.
This app does not request access to Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and Google’s publisher first-party ID is disabled. Non-personalized ads may still use app-scoped identifiers and other technical data for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregate reporting, and fraud prevention. Not requesting tracking permission does not mean that no data is collected.
The app checks consent status before requesting an ad and displays privacy messages applicable to your region when required. When available, you can change your choices through “Ad privacy options” in reading settings. Declining ads or being unable to receive an ad does not affect your basic daily free allowance.
Pro purchases and restoration
Apple’s App Store handles payments for Pro. The app determines your purchase entitlement using transactions verified by Apple and does not receive your full credit card or payment account details. Restoring purchases connects to Apple’s services. Apple handles purchase information under its own privacy policy.
Removing data
Deleting the app can remove its ordinary local data. Operating system backup and restoration depend on your Apple settings. The app does not currently provide a dedicated interface for clearing all website sign-in data at once.
This support website
This website provides static information pages and has no accounts, forms, or analytics tracking scripts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data needed to provide connections, security, and content delivery. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
